Bereits gestern hatten wir darüber berichtet, dass Microsoft wieder einige hauseigene Dienste umbenennen wird. Aus Xbox Music soll Groove Music werden – und nun macht Microsoft die Umbenennung auch offiziell. Aus Xbox Music wird also Groove Music und aus Xbox Video wird der bereits vorhandene Bereich „Movies & TV“ .
Durch die Umbenennungen will man zeigen, dass diese Dienste mit Windows 10 nicht auf ein bestimmtes Gerät beschränkt sind, was ja letztlich auch nicht der Fall war. Hiermit will man eine breitere Masse an Usern ansprechen und denen die Dienste „schmackhaft“ machen. Mittels Groove Music Pass soll man dann den Musik-Streamingdienst von Microsoft nutzen können. Xbox Music Pass Nutzer werden automatisch umgeswitcht werden.

Subscribers can also create custom radio stations based on their favorite songs, albums and artists. If you already have an Xbox Music Pass (like me) – don’t worry! This will become Groove Music Pass and you don’t need to do anything.
