Microsoft kündigt Skype Universal App an

Erst vor Kurzem hat Microsoft die Skype App für Windows eingestellt. Um am PC Skype weiter zu nutzen, sollte man nun den Web-Clienten nutzen. Nun gibt’s aber Neuigkeiten für die Skype-User unter uns. Denn heute hat Microsoft die Skype Universal App für Windows 10 und Windows 10 Mobile angekündigt. Das App soll in einem kommenden Update von Windows 10 (Mobile) kommen. Genaueres wurde dazu nicht gesagt.

Aktuell steht den Windows Insidern die neue Skype App zum Testen zur Verfügung. Einen Link zum App habe ich bislang aber nicht gefunden. Folgendes wird im Blogpost von Skype zu den neuen Features und kommenden Funktionen angegeben:

• Sign in with your Microsoft Account and link a Skype ID
• Show and change your availability
• See a list of your existing Skype contacts
• Initiate a chat with anyone in your contact list
• See that the other person is typing
• Logout
• Make one-to-one voice and video calls and send messages
• Personalize your experience with emoticons and Mojis
• Send photos
• See notifications for incoming calls and messages outside of the app
• Participate in existing group chats
