Spricht man über Netzwerkspeicher bzw. NAS ist neben Synology auch QNAP zu nennen. QNAP hat nun zwei neue NAS-Einsteigermodelle vorgestellt, welche mit einem QuickAccess-Anschluss kommen. Hierbei handelt es sich um die NAS TS-251A und TS-451A. Ersteres kommt mit 2 Festplatteneinschüben, Letzteres mit 4 Festplatteneinschüben daher. Gerade den genannten QuickAccess-Anschluss will QNAP hervorheben. Denn mittels diesem USB 3.0 Anschluss ist eine Direktverbindung zwischen NAS und PC möglich, so dass Daten schnell hin und her geschoben werden können. Bis zu 100 Mb/s sollen hierbei erreicht werden.
Angetrieben werden beide Systeme von einem Dualcore-Prozessor und vorinstallierten 2 GB RAM, welche sich aber auf bis zu 8 GB RAM erweitern lassen. Ebenso an Bord sind 2 Gigabit-Netzwerkanschlüsse, welche mittels Link-Aggregation bis zu 211 MB/s erreichen sollen. Beide Geräte bieten 4k-Videowiedergabe und 4k-Videotranskodierung. QNAPs TS-251A ist ab sofort ab der UVP von 269,00 Euro, das TS-451A ab 369,00 Euro zzgl. MwSt. verfügbar.
