Synology DiskStation Manager 6.0 Beta 2 verfügbar

Viele NAS-User nutzen ein Gerät aus dem Hause Synology. Vor einiger Zeit hat man die erste Beta vom DiskStation Manager 6.0 bereitgestellt. Zahlreiche neue Features haben hier Einzug erhalten. Nun gibt’s die Beta 2 zum Download. Solltet ihr bereits die Beta 1 installiert haben, sollte euch die neue Version automatisch zur Installation auch angezeigt werden.

Auch hier wurden viele Fehler behoben und an der Stabilität gearbeitet. Ebenfalls gibt’s einige Neuerungen, welche Synology HIER zusammengefasst hat.

What’s New in DSM 6.0 Beta 2

1. Service Modularization

   • Some of the DSM built-in features have been modularized into packages to ensure better system maintenance and update flexibility.

   • Modularization in DSM 6.0 Beta 2 includes Log Center (with basic built-in functions in DSM and extensive functions via package download), WebDAV and Snapshot & Replication.

2. File Station

   • Supports mounting NFS shared folders on folders on Synology NAS.

   • Aviary photo editor is introduced to replace the existing service for a more intuitive interface.

   • Multiple files can be downloaded without being compressed into one giant file on Chrome browser (on Windows computers only).

3. Content Search

   • You can now enjoy Spotlight search on Mac once the mounted folders are indexed in DSM.

4. File sharing

   • File sharing and file request have been redesigned for mobile interface to ensure a consistent user experience.

5. Security

   • CSP support can effectively prevent XSS attacks.

   • TLS/SSL profiles can be adjusted according to your browser compatibility and security requirements.

   • Root account is replaced by administrators group credentials to log into SSH to enhance security.

6. Certificate

   • The integration of Let’s Encrypthelps provide your Synology NAS with secure connection easily and effortlessly.

   • Multiple certificates are now supported to increase the flexibility for hosting several different hostnames.

7. 2-Step Verification

   • You can now add and manage your most frequently used devices as trusted devices without entering verification code every time you log in.

8. High Availability Manager

   • Improved cluster upgrade efficiency.

   • Improved cluster binding and unbinding efficiency.

   • Reduced the occurrence of split-brain errors.

   • Supports Docker DSM.

9. High Availability Manager for RC18015xs+

   • Supports Virtual DSM.

   • Supports Docker DSM.

10. Application Portal

    • DSM can now serve as a reverse proxy server.

11. Web Enhancement

    • HTTP compression can be enabled to effectively compress packets to reduce the size of web transfer.

    • HTTP/2 is now supported as an replacement of SPDY to increase the transfer speed for high latency connection.

12. Task Scheduler

    • You can now view the status of run tasks to monitor the results.

13. Package Center

    • Packages are divided into two main categories, Synology and Third-party, for better recognition.

14. Theme Change

    • Light and dark themes are supported for changing the system style within DSM.

15. QuickConnect

    • Relay service can now be disabled to meet enterprise policies.

16. Keyboard Shortcut

    • When typing in the text fields, keyboard shortcuts will be temporarily disabled to avoid unintentional entries.
