Windows Hello ist unter Windows 10 die neue Form der Anmeldung am Windows 10 PC. Wir hatten HIER und HIER schon einmal darüber berichtet.
Bisher waren spezielle Videokameras nötig, die das Gesicht erkennen und somit eine Eingabe eines Passwortes nicht mehr nötig ist.
Synaptics hat nun bekanntgegeben, dass sie ihre neuen TouchPads mit Fingerprint den Herstellern zum Einbau anbieten.
Die Firma hat hier sehr eng mit Microsoft zusammengearbeitet, damit man die Sicherheitsstandards die Microsoft fordert auch einhalten kann.

Windows 10 users will benefit from Synaptics‘ industry-leading precision TouchPad technology, and SecurePad, the industry’s only solution to integrate secure biometric fingerprint ID technology directly into the TouchPad."

Bei der Kamera hat man ja den Test mit einem einfachen Foto vom Gesicht gemacht und Windows wurde damit nicht überumpelt. Man kann auf einen Test gespannt sein, wie es mit einem Fingerabdruck aussieht.
Wann man mit den ersten Geräten rechnen kann, wurde natürlich nicht gesagt.
