Da ist tatsächlich der leere Ordner TESTER liegengeblieben, ich habe den jetzt manuell gelöscht. Außerdem habe ich die ISO als ESD gepackt, was die Größe etwas reduziert. Link ist im ersten Post.

Die neue Version (ESD) habe ich jetzt auch einmal in einer VM getestet.
Läuft genausogut.
Allerdings habe ich da jetzt im Explorer ein Laufwerk D:\WINRE mit rd. 300MB Größe und davon 15MB belegt.

Nanu, warum wird bei Dir die Wiederherstellung gemountet? Muß ich überprüfen, der Fehler (?) ist neu.

EDIT: Kann ich nicht bestätigen, passiert bei mir nicht. Als Laufwerk D: habe ich die ISO, von der ich installiere.

Bei mir tritt das mit D:\WINR nicht auf (VMWare). Alles gut soweit.

Ich hatte mich auf den AnwerFileGenerator von https://www.windowsafg.com/win8.1x86_x64_uefi.html verlassen.
Jetzt habe ich wenigstens auch eine funktionierende autounattend.xml für Windows 8.1.
Falls die jemand gebrauchen kann: einfach ein paar Daten abändern (FullName, Organization, ComputerName), als autounattend.xml abspeichern und ins Stammverzeichnis der DVD bzw. des USB-Sticks kopieren (da wo die Setup.exe liegt):

Aber Achtung!!! Die Datei sorgt dafür, dass eine Festplatte radikal gelöscht wird!!!! Ich habe euch gewarnt!

Die Festplatteneinrichtung und Partitionierung habe ich noch nie (außer versuchsweise) einer "autounattend.xml" überlassen. Das ist zwar sehr praktisch, aber auch sehr gefährlich - da werden (wie auch Holgi schon erwähnte und warnte) Festplatten und Partitionen ohne Rückfrage gelöscht und angelegt. Da man die DiskID normalerweise vorher nicht kennt, kann daß zu sehr ärgerlichem Datenverlust führen. Man kann die XML aber so erstellen, daß die nervigen Abfragen wie EULA etc. übersprungen werden, die Betriebssystemauswahl und Partitionierung weiterhin erscheinen.

Die Installation der letzten Updates gelingt mir leider nicht fehlerfrei. CORE funktioniert, PRO leider nicht.
Die letzte ISO vom 2022-05-17 ist aber eine gute Basis, zum Januar 2023 kann man dann sowieso eine FINAL einplanen. Mangels Nachfrage ist das nun auch eher ein Nebenprojekt.

kann es sein, dass auf der letzten ISO (also der vom 13.11.22) 2X! die Core enthalten ist (die Pro also fehlt), obwohl es zwei unterschiedliche Indexe gibt?
Es steht dort zwar Index 1=Core und Index 2=Pro, aber ich sehe da keinen Unterschied nach der Installation u n d Index 2 akzeptiert bei mir einen gVLK Core Key.

Muß ich überprüfen. Ich kenne ehrlich gesagt nicht den Unterschied zwischen CORE und PRO. Was wird in "Einstellungen - System" angezeigt?

Ich kann den Fehler bestätigen, beide Versionen sind CORE. Kann ich mir nicht wirklich erklären, ist vermutlich beim Zusammenführen der beiden WIM passiert. Ärgerlich, sollte nicht passieren.

Neue Updates sind wohl sowieso dran, ich erstelle eine neue ISO. Vielen Dank @Holgi fürs Testen und Aufpassen!

Gibt es auch noch eine Möglichkeit, die Meldung, dass Windows 8.1 EOL ist, welche nach Abschluss der Installation, aber noch vor dem Desktop kommt, zu eliminieren? Nervt!

Da die REG im HKCU liegt (angemeldeter User), muß sie von jedem User des PC seperat ausgeführt werden.
Ob sich die REG auch nach HKLM portieren lässt, weiß ich nicht.
