MS gave us a new present with its automatically also installed Bitlocker Encryption. When using Rufus, that can be disabled. But with the "in-place repair install" I will be using a virtual machine....

Danke, aber das war nicht meine Frage. Ich möchte JEDEN Ordner und IMMER, als Detail geöffnet haben, wenn ich ihn anklicke. Nicht nur öffnen und DANN auch noch auf Detail clicken..

eine "versteckte" Partition kann Windows IHMO nicht mir Board Mittel, aber mit Veracrypt kann man eine Partition ...

Zur Ergänzung: ReFind ist ziemlich gut, geht aber nur auf neueren Systemen, welche per UEFI booten. Ich hatte es vor einigen Jahren mal kurz genutzt, weil ich fälschlicherweise annahm, daß mein Mainboard nur per UEFI von NVMe booten könne.

Als ich dann festgestellt habe, daß das MoBo doch per CSM ...

Was Du meinst, heißt nicht "Double Boot", sondern "Dual Boot". Was Du suchst, heißt "Bootmanager". Was ich empfehle, heißt "reFind": https://www.rodsbooks.com/refind/

Good question... I used revo and it said it did. I used abbodhis "office scrubber script". It must found a left-over and removed that, and the update notice is finally gone.
