Miranda IM v0.6 Build #1

Not to stop the development, we opened the new source branch for the future development. So, welcome to the Miranda 0.6 development there’re no limitations on implementing any new features in 0.6

The first build includes:
- the YAHOO plugin with v.7 protocol support;
- the advanced icon set made by Faith Healer (these are icons which were used once and made a real sensation You’re welcome to send replies to the author.

Kurze Erläuterung zur Version 0.6, diese Version war wohl noch nicht geplant zum release und wurde deshalb wieder aus dem Blog entfernt. Wer sich das ganze trozdem ansehen möchte kann diese Version hier downloaden.

0.6 is not the latest build. It is the trunk build and does not contain any of the latest bug fixes to 0.5. So there is no need to use it right now as you will be using a build that is not being updated.

This might be backed out before final release. PLEASE TEST THIS. Deletion of one of the multiple buddies will now remove all copies of that buddy:-) Additions and Modification should no longer fail.

WebCam Video 0.0.1.1

Features:
+ User may select any video-source (web-camera, TV tuner etc).
+ Video-chats can be automatically saved as regular .AVI files.
+ Webcam picture is sent as a regular text messages, so WebCam Video will work well even behind firewalls. User will not see these text messages, of cause.
+ Delay and block size may be changed.
+ WebCam Video provides simple interface to web-camera.
Developers may take snapshots in either bitmap or jpeg format.

How to use WebCam Video:
+ Right-click on contact name in Miranda main window
+ Select Video Chat menu item
+ If remote party have WebCam Video plugin installed, it will start video chat immediately.
+ If remote party does not have WebCam Video plugin installed, he/she will receive small text message saying you want to start video chat. The download link will be provided, as well.

* various changes to the skinning engine. Menubar is now skinable, scrollbars can be disabled in skinned mode. Additional skin items allow to skin the statusbar background and the user list in groupchat sessions. Note that skins may need updates to support this.

* A number of unicode and translation-related fixes have been merged.

* Ability to rearrange the tab order. The options can be found in the context menu of any tab and allow to shift tabs left or right and save their positions. tabSRMM will try to restore the relative position of a tab when it is opened. Tab positions are only saved “on demand” - that is, when you actually shift a tab or save its relative position in the container. If no position has been saved for a tab, it will open at the default (rightmost) order. Note that a tab position cannot be absolute, because containers may have a different number and type of tabs at any given time, so the tab position should be considered relative. For example, when you shift a tab to the 4th position and open it later in a container which holds less than 4 tabs, it obviously cannot be at position #4. However, tabsrmm will try to maintain the saved position whenever possible. If multiple tabs try to hold the same relative position, the order of opening them will determine their absolute position.

* automatic bidirectional mode has been added. Currently only useful with very recent builds of the MSN protocol. It will support transmitting the RTL flag with any message you send, when the message actually contains right-to-left text sequences.

Also, when receiving messages they will be shown in RTL mode on a “per message” basis. Note that, if this auto-bidirectional mode is enabled, some advanced message log formatting options don’t work. This includes horizontal grid lines and some advanced template variables (highligthing with background color or drawing horizontal lines) for example.

* An extra dialog has been added to load a skin. It is now under Options->Customize->Message window skin and no longer in the container options dialog.

* Loading a skin which includes its own set of fonts, colors and templates will, by default, NO LONGER OVERWRITE your fonts, colors and templates. There are options on the skin loading dialog which allow you to control this behaviour. Generally, be careful with overwriting templates.

Loading a skin at startup will never overwrite any fonts, colors or templates. So if you want to use the fonts, colors and templates from the skin, you will have to manually load it by hitting the Apply skin now button after setting the options.

Miranda IM v0.5 Test Build #58

Finally build 58 is out. It includes some critical bugfixes:
- MSN timeout fix by borkra & me;
- the fixed issue with 100% CPU usage in loadavatars;
- RTL support for MSN protocol (fully supported in tabSRMM, partially - in SRMM);
- support for non-anonymous proxies for MSN HTTP gateway mode.

Also, as usual, there were a lot of minor bugfixes.

AIMOscar (June 20th Build)

Has the following fixes since the June 7th build & the last fix is since Miranda Build #58:

+Auto-idle now sets AIM's status to Away if 'Do not reply to requests for this message' is ticked in Options>Status>Status Messages.(NOT DONE FOR 6)

+snac length was incorrect by 6 bytes resulting in login error detection problems. It could have potentially affected received messages, and the initial buddy list received; however, both packets seemed to have more than 6 extra bytes at the end that aimoscar does not use.(NOT DONE FOR 6)

+stopped increasing sequence number on packet sending failure- so next packet won't get you kicked.

+fixed a packet length bug in contact list packet.***Since Build #58

***Note: This should fix the garbage bug- It shouldn't add new garbage users; however, if you have some they may be leftover. Make sure check them with dbeditor++ to see if they are indeed garbage users or just a garbage name.
