i finally got my latest plugin sort of working and now i need your input.

on the left u can see my regular contact list (clist_mw and tweakui) and the right you can see what this new plugin does...

it lets you split up your contact list into 2 (final version will allow up to 4 (maybe more) ) extra lists.... i have all my non-im contacts on the extra list and real contacts on the main list.

my reasons for creating this is because i leave mim open all the time on my 2nd monitor and hate having to close groups to see all the contacts that are online... so if u think this plugin is pointless i dont care.. bugger off

ok.. firstly some notes....
this plugin is really not ready for public release but i need your feedback..
it shouldnt do anything wierd but if it does tough...
the extra window atm can NOT be closed.. it can be moved and resized but not closed...

when u start miranda up after installing this u will get a blank list... goto options > contact list > multi clist and add ontact there... contacts with a M apear on your main list, contacts with a 1 apear on the extra list. contacts can apear on both, or neither if thats what you want...

some more notes...
- if a group is expanded on the main list then moved onto the extra list and collapsed it will not collapse automatically when the list is rebuilt
- there is no context menu in the new list, ill be adding one so dont worry..
- no option to set the extra list to always on top or docked (both coming)


so, why am i releasing this verison?
well firstly i need a new name for it.. multi clist will be easily confused with clist_mw and multiwindow...
secondly i want to hear what u want in the plugin... tabs? other wierd stuff?

im thinking it will have the choice of either a max of 4 extra windows, or a single window with tabs...

dont bother asking for avatar support in the list.. not possible and even if it was i wouldnt add it

i have not changed any clist code which means this will work with clist_nicer or clist_mw or any future clists (as long as they keep the clist control..)

can some1 draw some nice icons for the options window? or maybe ill just "borrow" the icons from the msn server list window

EDIT: should i set it up like the protocols so u can add more than the max amount of lists by renameing the dll?
EDIT2: dont drag a contact off the extra list.. it will crash

-i not try to delete,rename or move the groups in this extra CL-List,
but i think its not the best idea to have in both windows the same groups
-I can do nothing with this window, except resize (See next point)
-I need some option to show/hide this window, some menue entries, toolbarbuttons or something...
-And anyway is this realy a good idea, a second window ? Tabs in the main CL was a better idea...

tabs in the main window is imposiblle without creating a new clist which i cbf doing (and it would mean losing the clist_nicer or clist_mwn features)

oh, and if the user wants 1 group in both windows its entirely up to them...

Ich hatte es schon mal getestet,als es gerade herauskam.Lief wunderbar nur waren die extra clist auf 2 begrenzt und mich hat es genervt das die Fenster nicht anpassbar waren.Wie diese Version nun genau ist kann ich leider nicht sagen.

öhm, ich glaube die fenster kann man immer noch nicht anpassen - sieht strange aus. lediglich transparent belibt es, wenn man es im "hauptfenster" eingestellt hat.

weiter krieg ichs nicht angepasst. hab mich aber nicht wirklich intensiv damit beschäftigt, vielleicht hab ich auch noch nen menüeintrag übersehen.
