I want to do an "in-place repair install" of my 25H2 26200.9445 on my desktop PC
MS gave us a new present with its automatically also installed Bitlocker Encryption. When using Rufus, that can be disabled. But with the "in-place repair install" I will be using a virtual machine....
How can I prevent Bitlocker from being installed?

And also, please:
Will the new install OS be automatically activated?

If you checked the box in Rufus, BitLocker will be disabled.

With an in-place repair, the key does not change. Windows remains activated.
With a clean install, it depends. Normally, yes.

BitLocker hasn't been activated on my system yet during an in-place installation.

They are pointing out that Rufus only prevents this by giving you a choice. Well, I will find out...

You can check out the this Functions on schneegans.de xml Generator
Rufus is setting the needed registry entrys (9 are actual availlable in v4.15 ) in the same way
Just find the "oem" folder with generated unattended.xml file inside in the expanded iso on stick
This will be used with a clean install
