tabSRMM/chat - big changes, be aware

Ghazan commited a big patch to tabsrmm. Basically, it is the same stuff which went into chat.dll, making most of the group chat API unicode safe.

This is a huge patch, and bugs are very likely to exist as of now. We are aware of it and will work them out over time. So, before installing a new tabSRMM build from SVN or a new nightly, you should backup your old DLL. Reports like “chat broken, doesn’t work” will be silently ignored, detailed reports are always welcome, of course.

This only affects the unicode build of tabSRMM

These changes are effecive beginning with October, 4th 2006 (version number was increased to 1.1.0.10).

This build includes:
- major improvement: true Unicode CHAT.dll & chats in tabSRMM.dll. It means that using Unicode versions of MSN or Jabber protocol and the Unicode version of CHAT you can get: Unicode room names, users nicks, messages, status messages and room messages. Also you can use Unicode translations for ANSI protocols like IRC. Be aware: there were a lot of changes in chats, so you might have problems. Please report them at the build discussion forum. Backup your chat.dll and protocol dlls first, before overwriting the previous dlls, even considering that these chats work for me and another few people pretty good.
- major bugfix: 100% CPU eater was catched in the IcqOscarJ protocol and fixed by Joe.
- a lot of minor fixes for clist_modernb, ICQ, MSN & Jabber plugins.

Automatic Crash Reporting System

This plugin creates MiniDump crash dumps if and when Miranda crashes, and optionally uploads them to the Miranda server for analysis by developers.

The dumps can be loaded by VisualStudio. When used in combination with the 'Program Database' (PDB) files for the binaries involved, these dumps can provide detailed debugging information.

For Win9x users, a Microsoft redistributable installer is included in the docs folder of the archive. This package must be installed for Attache to function properly on 9x systems.

Some may already have noticed it. There was some teamwork recently to utilize the well known History++ plugin as a message history viewer inside the message window - tabSRMM in that case.

For a short while, History++ was faking the IEVIew API so that it was able to replace IEView as a message history viewer. But now, it has got its own API, so tabSRMM can finally implement a method to select one of 3 possible ways to display the message history:

1. Default message log (richedit based, all the known features like templates and such)
2. IEView (no need to say more, most people know it as it is one of the most popular plugins in the world of Miranda)
3. History++ - the great history viewing plugin for Miranda has now become modular enough to be used outside the history window.

Following the tradition to make everything in tabSRMM as flexible as possible, these settings can be selected both globally and per contact. The global option is on the “Message Log” options page and is now a combo box allowing you to select one of the 3 options. Please note, that this combo box will only list plugins which are installed to avoid confusion. So the History++ option is only available when History++ is installed and running.

The per contact setting is available from the leftmost dropdown button on the toolbar. It will open a dropdown menu with a Message Log Display item and will be added to the user preferences dialog at a later time.

Right now, the integration is not fully finished (but already working) and more options and tweaks will come in the near future. The h++ conversation headers will most likely also appear in the message window at some time, because they are a great way to mark the old conversations from the more recent ones.

Using history++ also has some technical advantages:

* It is optimized for large amount of message events in a single window. H++ can display ten-thousands of events with little to none loss of performance and without pushing the memory footprint to astronomic values like the default message log or IEView would do for showing a long message history.

* It unifies message history display - the history in the message window will look the same way as it does in the history window.

* It offers nice features like better quoting (even multiple messages with a single click), bookmarking messages directly in the message window and more.

Right now, this only works with very recent versions of both tabSRMM and H++. You need at least tabSRMM from Nightly #15 and a very recent alpha version of History++.

Maybe the latest build compatible with 0.5 branch. All changes from it were merged with 0.5.2. Build 16 includes:

The Display Control plugin allows you to know if a message arrived, even if your computer entered the low-consumption mode, and turned off the screen by just turning the screen back on.
Functionality:
- Turning on the screen when a message is received
- Status mode filter (e.g. turn on only if in away mode)

Here's a lil quick fix for AccuWeather HOURLY ini file originally done by Pit.
It seems AccuWeather has a new design following 'no tables' style [cramming
everything into divs]

To install this, simply copy it to plugins/weather folder.

If Pit ever updates his ini files, he is more then welcome to use this. No
need to waste time twice on this

Notes:
-The search is set for AccuWeather INTERNATIONAL. That means no US or Canada
cities are likely to be found. If you wish to add one of these you'll have to

The Miranda team is glad to present the intermediate version, 0.6, which is specially intended to provide the stable development platform for plugins developers, for a long time. After many stabilization fixes and changes, Miranda 0.6 provides now the following additional core services:

* complete memory handling routines set (alloc, free, realloc, calloc, strdup, strdupw);
* threading;
* utf8 encoding and decoding support;
* tabbed options;
* uPNP support;
* NAT-aware netlib engine with some important fixes.

To increase the quality of plugins, all plugin devs should use these function wherever possible, declaring 0.6 as the mininum compatibility level for their plugins.

The first release candidate (RC1) version should be presented in a week.

All features planned for 0.6 will be implemented in 0.7, so the next nightly build will be called 0.7.0.1 instead of 0.6.0.17.

This build opens the new line of nightly builds, based on M 0.6 functionality. This build contains:
- some fixes for ICQ protocol;
- two new authentication mechanisms for Jabber protocol: MD5 & NTLM;
