Bei vielen Formaten ist das ganz angenehm, wenn man das ausführende Programm direkt wählen kann ohne die Datei runterladen zu müssen.

Habe das angesprochen und den Featurewunsch VB-13875 'Adding "Open with..." in installed browsers' ergänzt.
Sowas kommt garantiert, aber erst nach der ersten Final.

Irgendwie finde ich unter Linux bei der Dev kein Tab Hibernation (Rechtsklick-Menü auf Tab) - oder bin ich blind?

Auto-Update funktioniert bei mir nicht. (Win 32)

Ich habe das schon lange: Vivaldi Starter > Popup-Fenster > "Neue Version verfügbar" > Jetzt installieren (Später erinnern) > OK - [Jetzt Installieren]

Dann lädt Vivaldi die neue Version anscheinend, aber installiert sie nicht. Beim nächsten mal habe ich die Update-Erinnerung wieder. Ich muss mir jedes mal die .exe runterladen und manuell installieren. Gibts da einen Tip?

Für Linuxer ist das Schlafenlegen (Hibernate) der Tabs noch nicht drin

Ich frag mal nach wieso das fehlt.

Ärgerlich sowas.
Kann auch sein, dass du das Autoupdate mehrfach anstoßen musst, ich hatte vorhin mehrer Download-Abbrüche. beim dritten mal gings. Da ist der Anstrum wohl weidr groß.

Ansonsten was das Installieren anbelangt, schau mal bitte im %TEMP% nach ob da irgendwelche Ordner Update-..... (Name + mehrere Hexadezimalzahlengruppen getrennt) sind, die löschen, Autoupdate nochmals starten.

Leider kann ich die Datei nicht anhängen, sonst hätte ichs getan ... (Ungültige Dateierweiterung)

Aktuelle Version: Vivaldi 1.0.403.24 (Beta 3) (32-Bit)
(Aber wie gesagt: manuell - automatisch hat das Update nicht funktioniert...)

Du irrst dich mit dem Update.
Es gibt kein Update einer Beta auf eine Snapshot. Das sind alles separate Kanäle, damit man sich beim Testen nicht ind Gehege kommt.
Beta über eine Snapshot-Version installieren ist nicht so sinnvoll.

Ok - die hab ich jetzt. Ich lass mich vom nächsten Update überraschen...

Btw... ich hab gar nichts gemacht. Das Update-PopUp hat mich informiert. ^^
Wenn ich dann [OK] drücke müsste Vivaldi doch die Version updaten, die ich installiert habe?
Macht sie aber nicht. (manuell funktioniert das - aber automatisch nicht)

Müsste? Hmmm... Kommt darauf an, wenn es eine aktuellere version findet, dann ja.
Vielleicht war auch der Updateserver falsch konfiguriert.
Und ich hatte auch mal einen stillen Absturz des Installers. Dann passierte auch nix.
