( "local server" has been renamed to "app" because users were confused by the previous name)

Changelog:
- The "MSIT {Internal Corpnet}" channel will always have "Generate packs: NO" option

Konnte ich mit der Version davor auch schon erstellen, also eine 23H2.

Es gibt ab 226xx.2361 in der AggregatedMetadata.cab jetzt zwei xml
DesktopTargetCompDB_App_Moment_Neutral.xml
DesktopTargetCompDB_App_Neutral.xml
Daher die neue Einstellung.

apps are available in a stub and "full" variants
some apps are stub only, some full only, some both

MSFT recommends to install stub versions if it's available

stub = app is non functional, it's getting downloaded on the first run
"full" app should work offline after clean install out of the box (if inbox license is available for offline usage)

ISO size should be bigger with full apps, and that apps would be outdated anyway in one week or so
there's no point to integrate full apps if you have internet connection

Wo stellt man ein welche Apps verwendet werden sollen bei der neuen uup dump bzw was ist bei stub apps dabei?

In der Conver ConvertConfig.ini:

Und dann über die Dateien

CustomAppsList2.txt

Mit der CustomAppsList2.txt kannst Du deine eigene Liste erstellen, ohne die CustomAppsList.txt modifizieren zu müssen. Weitere Erklärungen dazu gibt es direkt in der convert-uup.cmd.

Und mit "Stub Apps" ist gemeint, dass eine App, welche das unterstützt, nur als Stub (Platzhalter) integriert wird. Die App wird erst beim ersten Aufruf heruntergeladen und installiert.

Hinweis - Update zu UUP Local Server:
builds archive is updated again (Builds archive - Sep 29, 2023.7z)

some packs were generated on the outdated UUP dump copy, so new apps for builds 226x1.2361 were missing from the download script
please replace all packs files generated after 22.09.2023

Uploaded test version v1.6.1-r3 to the "Test versions" folder on Mega & MediaFire

I updated fileinfo / packs on Github (thanks to @abbodi1406 for PR merge)

so there is updated "scripts\uupdump-download-archive-aria2.cmd" script which should download full DB using aria2

also added portable git (well, not portable, it works only for git clone and git pull) and new script "scripts\uupdump-download-archive-git.cmd"
it should clone two repos on the first run with "--depth 1", then it should update it with "git pull --rebase"
so in theory if new commits are available, it should update the DB as well

aria2 script is just downloading all files and replaces it, so it's safe enough
not sure how git variant would work with builds added by the user

Hm, alles ganz schön und gut - nur: Wieso plötzlich so überaus umständlich ??? Klick hier, Auswahl da, nochmal Klick dort - nix. Neuer Versuch: Klick hier, Auswahl da - ach nee, war das jetzt richtig? Also nochmal von Vorn (ist ja immer gleich wieder verschwunden) - Klick dort usw. usf. ...
Ich würde ja vorschlagen, vor jeder Script-Zeile noch einen identitäts-Nachweis (Post-Ident oder so) einzufordern - das würde das Ganze noch wesentlich "aufregender" machen und es wäre echt einfacher, damit Zeit totzuschlagen und Unsicherheit zu verbreiten!
Erinnert mich (sehr) stark an die neuen Menü-Führungen in Windows 11 ... Ist das echt so gewollt ???

So ganz allmählich kann ich Deine "Rückzugs"-Absicht nachvollziehen !!!

Nur kurz - zur Erinnerung an frühere Versionen: Download - Anklicken (zwecks Datenbank aktualisieren) - Server starten. Jaaa, so einfach war das! Und wer sein System pflegt und "sauber" hält, hat auch immer die aktuellen Daten! Ohne Klick-Marathon !!!

Na, aber das hat nun ganz und gar nichts, mit dem Local Server zu tun. Zumal ich "eigentlich" nur eine Pause mache und wie schon in meinem Post erwähnt, ganz sicher, sofern es dann überhaupt noch möglich ist und auch funktioniert, später mit einem neuen Projekt zurückkommen werde.
