I had a cloned drive so I could be really dangerous in what I tried. I think the winsxs directory was missing files or they were corrupt. Tried many suggestions from many sites and nothing worked. I then decided to go to windows insider and select DEV. Both my clone and my good drive successfully updated to 29291.rs_preresleas.200822-1922 I guess I will run the DEV for awhile

I also tried downloading the MSU and tried installing that, Here is the CBS log of that attempt

It's the wrong logfile, maybe you were too late. There are no errors logged.

You must provide the CBS.log file, which belongs to the intallation attemp of KB4566782.

Try to install KB4566782 again and then copy this cbs.log file.

The error indicates, that something important in C:\Windows\WinSxS is missing (CBS_E_SOURCE_MISSING).

Trying to install KB4566782 and keeps failing with 0x800F081F I have attached the CBS log Any help would be appreciated.
