WalkingCat war mal wieder auf der Suche nach neuen Webseiten und interessanten Neuigkeiten. Dabei ist er auf einen Patentantrag von Microsoft gestossen, der am 31.3.2016 ver\u00f6ffentlicht wurde.
\nDabei geht es um „Compiler Caching for Runtime Routine Redundancy Tracking“. Lustigerweise hat man den Patentantrag nicht mehr aktualisiert und so kommt heraus, dass Microsoft im Oktober 2014 sein n\u00e4chstes Betriebssystem Windows 9 mit dem Codennamen Threshold betiteln wollte.<\/p>\n

Der Codename Threshold ist geblieben, wie wir wissen. Aber Microsoft hat sich dann wohl doch erst um einiges sp\u00e4ter dazu entschieden, dass man mit Windows 10 neu anfangen will.<\/p>\n
